Each DARK MATTER volume is a mixture of science fiction, suspense, fantasy, or light horror often concluding with a thought provoking, chilling, startling or unexpected turn of events. If you are making a film that delves into mysteries, unexplained phenomena, paranoia, morality tales, conspiracies, spirituality, frontier science and paranormal phenomena, you're encouraged to submit your work for consideration to DARK MATTER Films. If you believe your work is along the lines of Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, etc. then we invite you to submit your completed shorts, features and documentaries for consideration to Dark Matter Films.

Submission Information

  • When we choose a film for DARK MATTER, we contact the rights holder to send a licensing agreement asking for non-exclusive, worldwide DVD rights for a 30-day period within a one-year term.
  • We pay a fee that varies depending on length, format and other factors. We ask for a master of the film on Mini-DV tape or the movie files on a data DVD, as well as, at least three good electronic stills. Uncompressed files are preferred if size permits.

Submission Requirements

  • Please submit your film on DVD in NTSC format.
  • Only completed features, documentaries and shorts will be considered.
  • Please do NOT submit screenplays or works in progress. These cannot be considered nor returned.
